User Guide: Setting Up Data Syncing in SmartSpace.ai
In SmartSpace.ai, you have several options for syncing data into your workspace. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up data syncing using connectors within SmartSpace.ai and integrating with Azure Storage accounts.
Connectors Setup
Step 1: Access Connectors
- Navigate to the “Connectors” section within your SmartSpace.ai admin portal.
Step 2: Add Connectors to Dataspace
- Connectors are standalone features used by dataspaces. Think of a dataspace as a bucket holding the data and a connector as holding the credentials.
- You can attach any number of connectors to a dataspace to sync data from multiple sources.
Step 3: Configure Connectors
- Select the type of connector you wish to add (e.g., Native Connector or Azure Storage Connector).
- Provide the necessary credentials or connection details for the selected connector.
Step 4: Save Connector Configuration
- Once configured, save the connector settings.
Step 5: Attach Connector to Dataspace
- After saving the connector configuration, attach the connector to the appropriate dataspace.
- This step activates the sync process for the attached dataspace.
Azure Storage Sync
Step 1: Set Up Azure Storage Account
- If you haven’t already, create an Azure Storage account within the Azure portal.
- Obtain the connection string for your Azure Storage account. This can be found within the Azure portal under the storage account settings.
Step 2: Configure Azure Storage Connector
- In your SmartSpace.ai admin portal, navigate to the “Connectors” section.
- Select the “Azure Storage” connector option and provide the Azure Storage connection string.
Step 3: Save and Attach Connector to Dataspace
- Once the Azure Storage connector is configured, save the configuration.
- Then, attach the connector to the appropriate dataspace.
Keeping Files Up to Date
- To ensure files stay up to date in your Azure Storage account, SmartSpace.ai runs the sync process automatically at regular 15 minute intervals.
- The sync process typically takes 15 – 45 minutes to complete, depending on the run schedule and the volume of data being synced.
Conclusion
By following these steps, you can seamlessly sync data into SmartSpace.ai using connectors and dataspaces. Remember, connectors house credentials, dataspaces house the data, and workspaces utilize these resources. Administrators can attach dataspace to workspaces to enable data access for specific use cases or tasks.
